A boat named Sea Eight (C8) can travel for about two and a
half hours at a speed of 20 knots, upon reaching a speed of 16 knots, the
hydrofoils of the boat are activated and it rises above the water and the boat
reaches a speed of 30 knots.
The friction between boat and water is so much reduced that
it will save the energy and relaxes for seasickness as stated by the
manufacturing company..
The 28-foot-long electric boat is made of 100 percent carbon
fiber. Engineers have installed an advanced computerized system that controls
water waves and wind with the help of sensors. maintains the balance of the
boat, as reported in the media.
Apart from this, the boat also has its own 55 kW Seapod
electric motor which helps it to move in the water.
The state-of-the-art electric boat has a seating capacity of
8 people and two beds for adults and children are also installed in the forward
cabin of the boat.
