Cricket match review between pak vs india T20 2024

India beat Pakistan by 6 runs in a nail-biting finish in Group 2 T20 World cup 2024 held in America. Earlier Pakistan team in its opening match lost to American team, keeping all hopes for qualifyinhg in eight teams very little with probabilities and prayers if india and america both lose all their croup matches ,which is impossible.

Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first. Indian batsmen struggled to score as Pakistan bowled out India for 119 runs. Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf were the pick of bowlers for Pakistan with three wickets each, while Mohammad Amir picked two wickets. Rishabh Pant scored 42 runs but other Indian batters failed to play noticeable knocks.

India got off to a slow start, with KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma struggling to score against Pakistan's new ball bowlers. Rishabh Pant's entry changed the pace of the game, as he scored 42 runs off 31 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes.

India's middle order failed to capitalize on Pant's knock, with Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya failing to reach double figures. India's lower order, including Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin, added some crucial runs to take the team to a respectable total of 119.

On Pakistan side,Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf were the standout bowlers for Pakistan, picking up 3 wickets each and bowling economically. Mohammad Amir and Shaheen Afridi also bowled well, but failed to pick up wickets.

Pakistan's bowlers did well to restrict India's scoring rate, but failed to capitalize on the momentum.

Pakistan's batting lineup failed to fire, with only Babar Azam (30) and Mohammad Rizwan (24) reaching double figures. Pakistan's run rate was slow throughout the innings, putting pressure on the batsmen.

The team failed to capitalize on the powerplay overs, scoring only 32 runs in the first 6 overs. Pakistan's lower order failed to finish the game, scoring only 23 runs in the last 4 overs.

Jasprit Bumrah was the standout bowler for India, picking up 3 wickets for 14 runs in 4 overs. Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal bowled economically and picked up wickets, restricting Pakistan's scoring rate.

India's bowlers did well to capitalize on the pressure built by the spinners, with Bumrah's bowling being the turning point of the game.

India's fielding was exceptional, with no dropped catches and some crucial run-outs.

Pakistan's fielding was poor, with 2 dropped catches and some misfields.

Rohit Sharma's captaincy was spot on, as he made smart bowling changes and field placements. Babar Azam's captaincy was underwhelming, as he failed to capitalize on the momentum and made some poor bowling changes.

Overall, India's bowling and fielding were the difference between the two teams, with Pakistan's batting and fielding letting them down but the Indiam team looked professionally sound and pakistan already having three groups in the team and every player is accused of nepotism or approaches rather tah meritocracy.

Jasprit Bumrah was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.

Shortly Pakistan's failures was owed to inconsistent batting,Poor finishing,Wasteful bowling,Dropped catches, Slow run rate while India's success was owed to Rishabh Pant's knock, Jasprit Bumrah's bowling, Indian spinners, Fielding, Captaincy. So all thesefactors combined led to India's victory in the match.

PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has rightly said that team needs surgery ,yes it must be done well before next World tournament because we donot want to lose our last ray of hope on Pakistan cricket.
