Global Awakening: Embracing a New Era of Sustainability and Justice

The recent wave of global protests is a clarion call for change, a testament to the growing frustration and discontent among people from all walks of life. As the world grapples with the challenges of climate change, economic inequality, political polarization, and social injustice, it is clear that the status quo is no longer acceptable. 

In response to the protests, governments, corporations, and institutions must take corrective measures to address the legitimate concerns of the people.

The recent wave of global protests is a culmination of various factors that have been building up over time. One of the primary catalysts was the growing awareness of climate change and environmental degradation. 

Greta Thunberg's passionate speech at the United Nations Climate Action Summit in September 2019 resonated with millions of young people worldwide, inspiring them to take action. The subsequent global climate strikes in September and November 2019 marked a turning point, as millions of people from diverse backgrounds and age groups took to the streets, demanding urgent action from governments and corporations.

Meanwhile, economic inequality and wealth disparities have been exacerbating social tensions. The global financial crisis of 2008 had left a lasting impact, with many people struggling to make ends meet. The subsequent rise of populist and nationalist movements has further polarized societies, creating an environment of mistrust and frustration.

The Chilean protests, which began in October 2019, were sparked by a hike in public transportation costs, but quickly evolved into a broader movement against inequality, corruption, and the political establishment.
